About MIDASearch – In 2012 I created ‘The Intel Hub’, for a Fraud Prevention Intel team, which included many useful OSINT tools / websites. In 2017 the name was changed to MIDASearch and released as an open free to use OSINT resource website. Today MIDASearch contains over 2,000 OSINT sites / tools, a custom Meta Data Intel Search Engine, a lite version of MIDAsearch for quick access to open source information (OSINF) gathering, an electronic pinboard conataining OSINT / SOCMINT and INFOSEC guides and articles from expert third-party proffesionals.
Definition of OSINT from the FT.com/Lexicon – Intelligence created from public or open source information, including that published in the media, or legislation, annual reports, or directories, or available from conferences, theses, studies, websites, photographic satellites, or maps, among others. It is open knowledge, which differs from closed-access or clandestine knowledge. Click here to view the Compass Security OSINT Cheat Sheet.
